What is a full
body screening?
It is a combination of a calcium scoring,
low dose lung screenings, and an abdomen-pelvis
CT scan with oral and iv contrast. A full
body scan can reveal numerous findings about the body and is used
to detect abnormalities of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, spleen,
aorta and other vital organs.
Who should consider a full body scan?
If you are over 35, suffer from fatigue, have a family history
of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, chest pain, use
tobacco or have an inactive lifestyle and is someone who wishes
to engage in aggressive prevention measures and take a proactive
role in detecting possible diseases. |
